Marinas

Norfolk County owns and operates two marinas:

2023 Marina Updates

  • Only winter patrons will have access to the Port Dover Harbour Marina during the off season.
  • Port Rowan Harbour Marina has no winter storage, but the ramp will stay open during the off-season.
  • Both marinas will reopen to the public on May 1, 2023.

Fire Department

Norfolk County is divided into 11 fire districts. These districts are based on the principle of providing the appropriate fire or rescue service in the best possible time frame. Each fire district is serviced by a fire station. Fire stations vary in size and capability according to the fire protection and rescue needs of the fire district. The fire districts do not operate independently since all operations are coordinated through a common fire dispatch centre and it is very common for firefighters and fire apparatus to respond from more than one station to an incident, depending on the need.

Norfolk County Trails

Lynn Valley Trail

Trails are an integral component of healthy communities which provide health, environmental, economic, and social benefits. Trails also conserve open space, separate walking and bicycling from vehicle traffic (except in on-road bicycle lanes) promote public health through exercise, and provide wildlife corridors.

Trails are located throughout Norfolk County. Networks of trails begin in Simcoe, the county’s largest urban centre, and Turkey Point, which is a bit off the beaten track.
