Norfolk Community Days
Mark your calendars! June 13 – June 16, 2024
Norfolk County staff are preparing to host the third annual Norfolk Community Days from June 13 to 16, 2024.
County facilities such as community centres, museums, libraries, fire halls, pools, arenas, and parks in each Ward will welcome community members to attend free recreational and socio-cultural activities throughout the event.

Thursday, June 13- Norfolk County Fairgrounds, Simcoe – Simcoe Farmers Market 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
- HN REACH EarlyON Child & Family Centre – Delhi (105 Church St. West Delhi United Church) Grow With Us – Join us during morning Play & Learn, drop-in to do some planting and play at our EarlyON free family programming. 9:30 -11:30 a.m.

- St. Williams Ball Diamond – Family Fun! NCPL will be providing games, family activities, and story walk! St. Williams Lions and St. Williams United Church will be providing refreshments, goodie bags and fun giveaways! Meet & Greet with Norfolk County Firefighters! The Norfolk County Fire Department will have a fire truck and firefighters on site, come say hi, ask questions, see a fire truck! 6 – 8 p.m.

- Long Point Bird Observatory and Birds Canada – Free Drop-in bird banding demonstrations, children’s crafts, and open house! 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Donations welcomed!

- Norfolk County Archives – Used Book Sale! – Our annual sidewalk book sale is back! Search for treasures in our used books – many local history and genealogy books available. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Delhi Downtown Core – Delhi BIA Strawberry Fest and Ford Mustang Car Show, Vendors, Norfolk County Recreation Kids Zone and more! 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre – Csiga Noodle Bee – Hungarian women would traditionally meet every weekly in the winter, working together to make Csiga noodles for themselves and the neighbourhood. We want to recreate this community spirit and gathering with a traditional Csiga work bee. Join us as we mix, knead, roll, and form this iconic noodle together as a group. No prior experience needed. All ages are welcome. Aprons and take-home containers suggested. Admission by donation, pre-registration required. www.norfolkheritage.ca 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
- Delhi Kinsmen Pool Grand Opening Celebration! – Free Lengths and Leisure Swim (adults) 12:15-1:15 p.m., Free Open Swim 1:15-3:15 p.m. Come down to the Kinsmen Pavilion for the NCPL KidsZone with fun games “Kids Bingo” for prizes and Storybook Walk, 12 – 4 p.m. Live Music from The Shrubberies 2 – 3:30 p.m.
- Port Dover Harbour Museum – Riverfront Park – 2nd Annual Arbor Dog Races – Sponsored by The Arbor – Weenies will race to claim the prize of fastest hot dog around. Are your dogs a little taller?
