Norfolk County’s Fall and Winter Recreation Program Guide is now available online to help residents plan and prepare for registration. From swimming, sports, and fitness to art, dancing, and music, Norfolk County is offering dozens of programs and activities for all ages and abilities. 

Fall program registration begins on Tuesday, August 22. Back-to-school swimming lesson registration is already open. Residents can view the Fall and Winter Recreation Program Guide at norfolkcounty.ca/RecGuide. 

The Simcoe Recreation Centre offers indoor Pickleball and walking programs for all ages, TRX fitness, children’s programs, and more. It is also home to the Simcoe Seniors’ Centre where members can participate in more than 40 weekly programs.  

Some of the NEW activities added this fall and/or winter include: 

  • Indoor Floor Hockey
  • Inline Skating and Roller Skating
  • Chess Workshops
  • Gramma’s Kitchen 
  • Pickleball Workshops for those who want to learn the sport 
  • Active Adults Sports & More at locations throughout the County, including Langton, Courtland, and Vittoria 
  • Womens’ Pickleball 

Norfolk County offers educational, recreational, and social programs for seniors 50+ in-person at the Delhi Friendship Centre at 418 Queen St, as well as on the phone through the Seniors Centre Without Walls program. The centre offers a variety of weekly activities for seniors, from line dancing and cards, to baking and shuffleboard. 

The County partners with organizations that can assist families who are experiencing financial shortfalls. Funding programs are available for children ages four to 18 years. Information can be found within the pages of the guide, or by calling 519-426-5870 extension 8168.

  • In person at the Simcoe Recreation Centre (182 South Drive, Simcoe), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (hours are subject to change) 

Members of the community are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
