September 28, 2022 – The council-approved three month Paid Parking Pilot Project, which began June 15 in Port Dover and Long Point, has come to an end.
With the project now complete, any parking restrictions in the waterfront area of Port Dover prior to the project, are now in place again. The Abigail Becker parking lot in Long Point has now reverted to free parking. If there is no signage in place indicating a parking restriction, residents and visitors may park up to 48-hours at a time.
Staff are in the process of assessing results of the pilot project and will be seeking further public consultation in the coming weeks as a part of the report to Council later this fall.
