March 11, 2020, Simcoe, ON – Norfolk County has named Tricia Givens its new Interim Director of Planning, effective March 9.
Givens, a Registered Professional Planner, has more than 20 years of professional experience and spent the past eighteen years within municipal government in progressive planning roles. She will provide the department with leadership while it searches for a permanent director.
She previously spent five years with Norfolk’s Planning Department as the Principal Planner before moving to Health and Social Services, in the role of Program Manager, Housing Services.
The County has also hired two new Planners, who are expected to start later in March, and is currently recruiting for two Senior Planner positions.
Norfolk is also searching for a candidate to fill the newly-created General Manager of Planning and Development position.
