Norfolk County’s next Household Hazardous Waste Depot will take place at 340 Argyle Ave. Delhi, on May 21 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Registration is available until May 20 at noon. To book a time for the Household Hazardous Waste Event visit this page and click on the “Registration for Household Hazardous Waste” link.

Everyone should keep in mind that hazardous waste materials are harmful to humans, animals and the environment, and should be disposed of properly.

Accepted items include:
• Aerosol cans
• Batteries (all types)
• Household cleaners and disinfectants
• Fluorescent tubes and bulbs
• Propane tanks (20lb) and cylinders
• Gasoline, oil and oil filters
• Medication, syringes
• Paints, varnishes, and stains
• Pesticides and insecticides
• Pool chemicals

Drums of hazardous waste, agricultural/commercial/industrial waste, PCBs, explosives, or radioactive waste will NOT be accepted.

Norfolk County no longer collects electronic waste at the Household Hazardous Waste Events.

Can’t make it to Delhi’s drop-off event? There are two other events this year. They are scheduled on Sept 17, in Simcoe, at 591 Norfolk St. S, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and on October 8th, in Langton, at 1630 County Rd. from 9 a.m.-noon.
