Project Description

The Hawthorne Pedestrian Bridge is located in Simcoe, east of the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Crescent Boulevard.  The pedestrian bridge requires replacement to ensure the continued safety of the public.

The work will include new bridge abutments, new prefabricated bridge structure, replacement of light standards and associated pedestrian trail restoration.

Traffic / Pedestrian Management

To expedite the work in a safe environment, a pedestrian detour route will be in effect. Road/lane closures will also be required periodically at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Crescent Boulevard.  Access to residential properties will be maintained at all times and appropriate signage will be in place.
