Norfolk County’s Heritage & Culture department has launched a new website that brings news and information, events, activities, displays, and more, together into one online destination.

The new website, accessible at norfolkheritage.ca, features a calendar that lists exhibits, workshops, events, camps, and learning opportunities taking place at the Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre, Port Dover Harbour Museum, Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum, and Norfolk County Archives in Simcoe.

“In response to feedback received through public consultation, we are excited to provide a centralized website with all that the Heritage & Culture department has to offer,” said Melissa Collver, Director of Heritage and Culture. “We want to make sure we are providing you with the information you need, and I invite you to explore the new site and share your feedback by email at [email protected].

Some highlights of the website include a list of Norfolk County properties designated under the Ontario Heritage Act, the Norfolk County Cultural Map, a collections database, storyboards, and even online exhibits. The new site also provides information on how to donate, volunteer or become a member.

“This is a very exciting development for Heritage & Culture,” said Norfolk County Mayor Amy Martin. “This department offers so much to see and do throughout the year, and I’m pleased to know residents and visitors will have an easier time accessing Norfolk’s rich history, as well as planning their visits.”

Those interested in Heritage and Culture are also encouraged to sign up for “E-Blast from the Past”, a monthly e-newsletter highlighting everything happening within the department.
