Norfolk County will be accepting applications for the revamped Community Grants Program from February 1 until February 29, 2024.

The improved application process has been revised to make it clearer, more transparent and linked to the County’s Strategic Priorities.

The Norfolk County Strategic Priorities for the current term of Council are as follows:

  • Empowering Norfolk
  • Building Norfolk
  • Connecting Norfolk
  • Serving Norfolk
  • Sustaining Norfolk

The grant program will be open to not-for-profit organizations undertaking projects and initiatives to help deliver on these priorities. Application approvals and final grant allocation amounts to organizations will be based on application criteria, number of applicants, and total available funding envelopes. For 2024, the approved budget for the entire Community Grant Program is $34,000. Funding through the program is not guaranteed and is subject to availability.

The selection committee will review all applications and, based on the eligibility and evaluation criteria outlined in the policy, make recommendations to Council.

Successful applicants will be notified via email in late April, with funds being deployed starting in May.
