Norfolk County recognized Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month today by raising the flag for MS Canada – Grand Erie Chapter on the community flagpole at the County Administration Building in Simcoe.

The flag-raising is in celebration of the 2024 Simcoe-Norfolk MS Walk, which will take place this Sunday, May 26. Check-in time is 10 a.m., and opening ceremonies are at 10:30 a.m. The walk starts at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 79 in Simcoe.

With an estimated 90,000 Canadians living with the disease, Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) worldwide.
