Paid parking is now in effect in designated lakeside communities across Norfolk County, operating daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labour Day. 

Norfolk County announces the resolution of a legal matter involving Warren Cummings. The resolution includes a formal apology and retraction, payments of $46,750 towards Norfolk’s outstanding court-awarded recovery of costs, and a full and final release of all claims against the County and its officials.

Norfolk County is advising residents that a previously anticipated planning item will no longer be presented at the upcoming Public Hearing Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Norfolk County Committee of Council supported recommendations to maintain the current approach to alcohol at municipally approved cultural or community outdoor public events during its June 11 Council‑in‑Committee meeting.

Norfolk County will hold a special Council meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, following the Public Hearing Committee meeting. The June Council-in-Committee meeting will now begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.

Norfolk County is responding to inaccurate information circulating on social media regarding a recent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation in Simcoe. 

May is Building Safety Month, a provincewide campaign led by the Ontario Building Officials Association to raise awareness about how building permits and inspections help protect public safety. Norfolk County is reminding residents and contractors to make sure permits are in place before construction begins to help ensure work meets Ontario Building Code requirements.

Norfolk County residents are reminded that most County services, and all County buildings, will not be open or available on Victoria Day, Monday, May 18, 2026.
