Norfolk County announces certified candidates for the 2026 Norfolk County Municipal Election
The Norfolk County Clerk has officially reviewed and approved all nominations for the 2026 Municipal Election. Each candidate must satisfy the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
The nomination period commenced on May 1, 2026, and completed on August 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.
The following is a complete list of all candidates for Mayor, Council, and School Board Trustees:

Online voting: New for 2026
Online voting—new to Norfolk County for the 2026 municipal election—will be available from Friday, October 9, to Friday, October 23, 2026. Online voting enables electors to cast their ballots from a computer or mobile device anywhere with an internet connection during the designated advanced voting period.
During the online advanced voting period, Norfolk County will have in-person Online Voting Assistance Centres set up to assist with online voting. There will also be an opportunity at these locations to vote using paper ballots as an advance voting option.
In-person voting
In-person voting will happen on Election Day, Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Polling station locations for each Ward are available on the County website.
Eligible voters
Voters must be 18 years of age or older; a Canadian citizen; and either a resident of the municipality, a non-resident who owns or rents property in the municipality, or the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the municipality.
