Norfolk County recognizes Septic Awareness Week
From September 14 to 18, Norfolk County is recognizing Septic Awareness Week, an annual campaign focused on helping property owners better understand and maintain their septic systems.
As part of the week, the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association (OOWA), a provincial, non-profit industry association, is offering free educational webinars and resources.
Homeowners can register for:
- Septic System Basics for Rural and Waterfront Property Owners: Monday, September 14 at 7 p.m.
- Septic System Access Safety: Wednesday, September 16 at 7 p.m.
Throughout the week, homeowners can visit OOWA’s Homeowner Resources page at oowa.org/homeowner-resources for resources, maintenance tips, videos, and guides to support responsible septic system ownership and long-term system performance.
