Norfolk County launches waste exemption applications and extends cart selection deadline
Norfolk County is now accepting waste exemption applications for eligible households only, including homes with three or more children in diapers, licensed home daycares, and residents who generate medical waste in the home. Approved exemptions will take effect as part of the new waste collection program launching September 28, 2026.

Norfolk County adjusts some speed limit zones for operational and safety reasons
Norfolk County Council has approved changes to the speed limit zones near select schools and rural roads to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and students. The changes are based on road safety reviews, resident service requests and ongoing monitoring of traffic speeds and road conditions by County staff.
