Property owners urged to update mailing addresses
Norfolk County is encouraging property owners to review and confirm that their mailing address on file with the County is complete and up to date to ensure they continue to receive important municipal correspondence.
Due to recent process changes at Canada Post, a number of County mailings were returned due to missing post office box numbers. As a result, some property owners may not be receiving important County communications, including:
- Property tax bills, notices, and statements
- Municipal election information
- Planning application notices
- Waste management updates
- Other important County correspondence
Property tax and other County mailings
Property owners with a PO Box at a Canada Post office location who received their 2026 final property tax bill do not need to take any further action.
Property owners with a PO Box located in a Canada Post office location who have NOT received their 2026 final property tax bill, can pick up a copy of their bill at the ServiceNorfolk customer service counter located at the County Administration Building, 50 Colborne Street South, Simcoe.
To update a mailing address and ensure future County correspondence is delivered correctly, property owners can update their tax mailing address online or visit a ServiceNorfolk customer service counter in Simcoe or Delhi. Address changes cannot be completed by phone.
Norfolk County reminds property owners that tax payments are due by the deadline, whether or not a tax bill is received. Late payment penalties and interest will continue to apply in accordance with County policy.
Address updates for the municipal election
Eligible voters can verify their mailing address for the municipal election at registertovoteon.ca.
Eligible voters can update their address in person with the Norfolk County Elections team at the County Administration Building at 50 Colborne Street South, Simcoe. Identification will be required to verify voter information. Visit norfolkcounty.ca/Vote for identification guidelines.
Voter Information Letters (“voter cards”) are sent by mail and should arrive before Election Day on Monday, October 24, 2026. If eligible voters have not received their letter by October 9, 2026, they are encouraged to visit Elections staff at the County Administration Building in Simcoe for assistance.
