Norfolk County is preparing for another winter in southern Ontario. This means that plows will be clearing all municipally maintained roads when a snow event has occurred.

The Norfolk County Fire Department (NCFD) is proud to announce the promotion of volunteer firefighter, Jackie Mussel, to captain. In her new role as captain, Mussel will supervise volunteer firefighters at the station and in emergencies – and provide training and mentorship to staff.

Today, Norfolk County budget committee completed a phase one review of the 2023-2032 capital plan.

Just in time for Remembrance Day, Norfolk County’s Carillonneur Jim Nicholls received word that his medley arrangement of Abide With Me and The Last Post was recorded at the Peace Tower in Ottawa by Dr. Andrea McCrady, the Dominion Carillonneur. Norfolk County has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to implement an approximately 20 km length transmission watermain that connects Simcoe to the Townsend Water Supply System. This project will secure water supply from the Nanticoke Water Treatment Plant.
