Norfolk County installs Wind Phone in Simcoe

Norfolk County has installed a Wind Phone at Colonel Stalker Park in Simcoe, creating a dedicated space for reflection, remembrance and healing.

The project was initiated by a community member and brought to life through a collaboration with Norfolk County staff.

A Wind Phone is an unconnected telephone that serves as a symbolic space for grief, remembrance and healing. While not connected to any telephone network, it offers individuals an opportunity to express thoughts and feelings to loved ones who have passed away.

The installation is now open and available to all members of the community.
