Ride Norfolk service will be unavailable from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The County of Norfolk has undertaken a Municipally Initiated Official Plan Update as part of the 
Conformity Exercise to the Provincial Planning Statement 2024 that came into effect on October 20, 2024. The County is hosting an in-person Open House on October 22, 2025 and a hybrid Public Meeting of Council on December 16, 2025 to inform about the proposed amendments to the Official Plan in accordance with Section 26 of the Planning Act. 

Norfolk County Council met on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The meeting included several deputations, staff reports, and discussions on planning applications, infrastructure, and council remuneration.

In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Norfolk County will raise the ‘Survivor Flag’ on Monday, September 29 at the County Administration Building in Simcoe, where it will remain until Wednesday, October 1.

Norfolk County’s seasonal leaf and yard waste collection program will transition to its fall schedule following the conclusion of summer service on September 26. 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING pursuant to the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, C.P.13, concerning amendments to the County Official Plan and County Zoning By-Law 1-Z-2014 on October 8, 2025

Norfolk County has been recognized with a 2025 Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).  

Council meetings determine final decisions based on recommendations from the Council-in-Committee meeting two weeks prior. Once approved, meeting Minutes will be posted on norfolkcounty.ca/Calendar.
