Norfolk County Council has approved the 2026-27 investment plan that supports housing stability and homelessness prevention services across Haldimand and Norfolk.  

Residents in Haldimand and Norfolk may now apply for help with essential home repairs through the Ontario Renovates program. 

Norfolk County has endorsed short-term Rental regulations, a Municipal Accommodation Tax, and the creation of a Municipal Development Corporation to support destination management and tourism promotion.

The resolution includes a formal apology and retraction, payments of $46,750 towards Norfolk’s outstanding court-awarded recovery of costs, and a full and final release of all claims against the County and its officials.
