In celebration of Heritage Day and Heritage Week happening this month, Norfolk County’s Heritage and Culture department is highlighting several exciting events and initiatives.

It has taken more than three years of persistent work, led by Norfolk County’s Bylaw team, but a once-derelict commercial property on Robinson Street in Simcoe is now on the path to improvement.

Norfolk County is announcing the launch of the 2023 Norfolk Community Development Awards. The new program incorporates and evolves the previous Heritage Dogwood, Development Site Plan and Economic Development Awards with new categories and a new format.

Norfolk County staff donated $34,170 to charity in 2022.

Dog owners in Norfolk County, all canines are required to be licensed each year. Failure to do so could result in fines being issued to the owners of unlicensed and untagged dogs.
