Norfolk County has completed a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for proposed upgrades to the Simcoe Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), including biosolids handling improvements and storage tanks to accommodate material from Port Dover and Port Rowan WWTPs. The study updates recommendations from the 2016 Integrated Sustainable Master Plan to reflect current technologies and regulations, addressing County-wide servicing needs projected to 2051 in accordance with the Municipal Class EA process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
