Norfolk County is undertaking a Development Charge Background Study to guide how growth-related infrastructure is funded. 

As part of this work, the County is inviting members of the development community and the public to attend an online information session on Friday, July 17, to review the draft background study and by-law. 

Norfolk County will hold a Statutory Public Meeting on Tuesday, July 28, for the adoption of its updated Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The purpose of the Statutory Public Meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity to review the document and its changes, ask questions, and provide feedback on the proposed CIP update.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, members of the Norfolk County Fire Department will be conducting drone training at the Delhi Administrative Building between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Residents may notice drones operating over the property as part of the training exercise.

Norfolk County Council will hold a public meeting to present and receive comments on the proposed Development Charges By-law and the related Development Charges Background Study, in accordance with the Development Charges Act, 1997.

Notice of application to repeal Heritage designation By-Law 81-26 45 for Peel Street, Simcoe 

Norfolk County is advising residents that a previously anticipated planning item will no longer be presented at the upcoming Public Hearing Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Norfolk County has contracted Civica to conduct sewer smoke testing in residential neighborhoods in Port Dover and Port Rowan. Residents in these areas have received advance notice, and daily updates will be provided throughout the project to keep the community informed.

Norfolk County Forestry staff are hosting an information session to raise awareness about dog strangling vine, an invasive plant species recently detected in Waterford, including along the trail.

The Public Hearings Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, will be held in Council Chambers.

This notice is to provide public notification of the pending reconstruction of the Talbot Gardens and Argyle Street Parking Lots.
