Port Rowan Harbour dredging
Norfolk County will be carrying out maintenance dredging at Port Rowan Harbour between October 12 and October 30, 2026, weather permitting.
The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete and will remove approximately 3,700 cubic metres of sediment from the harbour channels. Dredging will help maintain water depth and improve access through the harbour.
During construction, excavators and dump trucks will be working in and around the harbour. To keep the public safe, part of the west seawall area and portions of the adjacent park will be temporarily closed or have restricted access.
Boat traffic will still be able to use the harbour but will experience delays while dredging is taking place.
Visitors are asked to follow all posted signs and stay clear of active work areas.
For background information about the project, including the regulatory approval process, view the original Public Notice - Port Rowan Marina Dredging.
Norfolk County thanks residents, harbour users and visitors for their patience while this work is completed.
