Properties will receive two new carts: one for garbage and one for organic waste. These carts are designed for use with automated waste collection vehicles. Once the program begins, residents must use their supplied carts to ensure waste collection. Residents should continue using their current recycling containers.

Carts will be delivered to properties from August 24 to September 25, 2026. Read more about cart delivery.

Starting Monday, September 28, 2026, Norfolk County's waste collection program will transition to weekly collection for organic waste (green cart) and recycling, and bi-weekly garbage collection (grey cart).
