For more than 40 years, bikers have travelled to Port Dover every Friday the 13th to share their passion for motorcycles.

About the event

Friday the 13th brings motorcycle enthusiasts to the vibrant town of Port Dover in Norfolk County. While the Kinsmen Club of Port Dover and the Port Dover Board of Trade run the event, Norfolk County plays an important role in keeping residents, visitors, and property safe. Read more at PD13.com.

Parking

Motorcycle parking is only available in certain areas and is not permitted on designated streets.  With the many visitors, vendors, and bikes in town during the event, parking in permitted areas ensures our fire, paramedic, and police teams have fast and direct access to residential and business areas in an emergency.  Check the event map for locations.

Street closures

Temporary street closures for public safety, except for emergency and service vehicles, will be in effect from 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, to Saturday, June 14, until 4 a.m:

  • Main Street from Nelson Street to Walker Street
  • Chapman Street West from Main Street to St. Andrew Street 
  • Chapman Street East from Main Street to St. Andrew Street 
  • Market Street West from St. George Street to Main Street 

And from 3 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 13:

  • Nelson Street East, from St. Patrick Street to Highway 24
  • Greenock Street West, from St. George Street to Richardson Drive
  • Richardson Drive, from Nelson Street West to Greenock Street
  • Main Street from Clifford Street to Nelson Street

Street access

For motorcycles: 

  • New for June 2025, St. George St, Walker St, and St. Andrew St have been designated motorcycle traffic only (aside from authorized vehicles) 
  • As in previous years, traffic will be in a one-way loop, with OPP assisting with traffic flow 

For cars:

  • Passenger vehicles are not permitted on St. George St, Walker St, or St. Andrew St during the event
  • If you live on these roads and need to leave/return home for the duration, please treat these roads as one-way, and turn onto the first available side street to travel through town 
  • Detour routes will be set up on both sides of Port Dover with signage posted to route passenger vehicles away from the closed roads  

Shuttle bus

Food, refreshments and merchandise

  • The Kinsmen Club of Port Dover provides food, refreshments, and beer tents during the event
  • Food and refreshment vendors follow the Norfolk County Municipal Alcohol Policy and Alcohol Gaming Commission guidelines
  • Vendors will be set up on Main Street, between Chapman Street West and Walker Street
  • Check the event map for locations

Washrooms

  • Portable washrooms and wash stations are available throughout Port Dover’s downtown area

  • Due to the high traffic volume in town, service will only be available as far as the No Frills grocery store stop.

Q. I am a Port Dover resident. Can I drive in town during the event?

A. Roads that are not indicated as closed are permitted to be travelled.

If you are a Port Dover resident and live on St. George St. or St. Andrew St., you can travel these roads to the next available side street and take an alternate route out of town. Check the event map for roads that are closed and detour routes. 

Q. Where can I park my motorcycle during the event?  

A. Motorcycle parking is available on Main St., portions of St. George St. and St. Andrew St., and in the municipal parking lot on Clinton St., consistent with previous PD13 events.

Q. Where can cars drive during the event?  

A. Passenger vehicles are permitted to travel on roads that are not listed as closed and are permitted to cross over Nelson St. Check the event map for roads that are closed and detour routes.
