Norfolk County Facilities Master Plan
Norfolk County has completed a long‑term plan to guide how County‑owned facilities are maintained, improved, and used to support residents and services.
The Facilities Master Plan reviews more than 90 County properties, including administrative buildings, fire and paramedic stations, operations yards, libraries, museums, recreation spaces, and community halls. Many facilities are aging, costly to maintain, or no longer meet accessibility and service needs.
Through public and staff engagement, the Plan identifies opportunities to:
- Invest in modern, accessible, and energy‑efficient facilities
- Consolidate services where appropriate to improve efficiency
- Reduce reliance on aging or underused buildings
- Manage costs responsibly while maintaining service levels
The Plan provides a phased, long‑term roadmap that balances community needs, financial sustainability, and responsible asset management.
