Virtual County Hall allows residents to manage property taxes online

Norfolk County has introduced Virtual County Hall (VCH), a secure and user-friendly platform that allows residents to manage their property taxes and accounts receivable online.

Benefits to residents

  • E-billing enrollment: Sign up to receive property tax and accounts receivable bills by email.
  • Electronic tax notices: Offers online access to tax notices.
  • Online credit card payments: Allows payment of property taxes and parking tickets through a secure online portal.
  • Transaction history: Displays detailed records of past payments and account balances.
  • Property information access: Provides property data such as assessed values, ownership information, and mailing addresses.
  • With a potential interruption to Canada Post services later this month, residents with a VCH account can continue monitoring their property tax account status.

Benefits to Norfolk County

Signing up for VCH and opting for e-billing offers residents more than just convenient, anytime, anywhere access to information. By choosing e-billing, residents help Norfolk County save on the costs associated with printing and mailing tax bills and notices, leading to significant cost savings.

Norfolk County spends around $100,000 each year on postage for tax-related bills and notices. By having residents switch to e-billing, the County can generate budget savings.

Residents can find a step-by-step “how-to” video and frequently asked questions on the Norfolk County Property Tax website at NorfolkCounty.ca/VCH.
