Service Disruption Update: Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre to remain closed January 25

UPDATE on Saturday, January 24 at 5:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre will not open on Sunday, January 25, as staff continue working to ensure the pool's chemicals meet the requirements of Ontario Regulation 565 (Public Pools). 

All swims and lessons scheduled for Sunday, January 25, are cancelled. Pre-registered participants will be contacted by staff.

At this time, staff anticipate the pool will reopen on Monday, January 26. Residents are encouraged to check norfolkcounty.ca and County social media channels for the latest updates before visiting.

Norfolk County thanks residents for their patience and understanding.

Free swims at the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre are cancelled for Saturday, January 24. 
 
Unfortunately, the free swims scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. today (Saturday, January 24) at the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre have been cancelled as staff continue to work to ensure the pool's chemicals meet the requirements of Ontario Regulation 565 (Public Pools). 
 
The aquatic centre will not reopen today. At this time, the status of aquatics programming for Sunday, January 25, has not yet been confirmed. Updates will be shared as soon as more information is available.
 
All other areas of the Simcoe Recreation Centre remain open and operating as scheduled.

Leisure Swim cancelled on Saturday, January 24

The 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Leisure Swim at the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre on Saturday, January 24 has been cancelled.

Staff are working to correct a pool chemistry issue to ensure the facility continues to meet the requirements of Ontario Regulation 565 (Public Pools). All pre‑registered participants have been contacted.

At this time, the free 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. swims are still planned to proceed. Updates will be shared if this changes.
