Service Disruption: Power Outage Alert
UPDATE at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, September 27
- The Delhi arena will reopen today at 6:00 p.m.
UPDATE at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27
- The Waterford arena will reopen today, Saturday, September 27, at 2:00 p.m. The Public Skate scheduled for 2:00 p.m. will proceed as planned.
- Further updates for the Delhi arena will be shared when available.
UPDATE at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, September 27
- Delhi and Waterford arenas will remain closed as staff work to ensure the quality of ice surfaces following the power outage.

UPDATE at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, September 26
- Delhi and Waterford arenas will remain closed today, reopening tomorrow, pending power restoration
UPDATE at 2:50 p.m. on Friday, September 26:
- Power has been restored at the County Administration Building in Simcoe (50 Colborne Street South), and we have reopened
- Transfer stations will remain closed for the rest of today
- Talbot Gardens has reopened for regular programming.
- The Simcoe Recreation Centre will reopen at 3:30 p.m. today, cash only, or pre-register and show proof of registration
- Additional updates will be provided when possible.
9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 26:
Hydro One is currently responding to a widespread power outage affecting multiple areas across Norfolk County. Crews have been dispatched and are working diligently to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Norfolk County facilities experiencing power outages will be closed until power is restored.
Please check Hydro One’s Storm Centre for real-time updates. Remember to stay clear of downed power lines and report them immediately to Hydro One or local emergency services.
