September Council meetings to take place at Simcoe Library during construction

With ongoing construction at the Norfolk County Administration Building in Simcoe, Council will hold the following meetings at the Norfolk County Public Library’s Simcoe Branch, located at 46 Colborne Street South.

Wednesday, September 6
  • Board of Health Meeting at 1:00 p.m.
  • Public Hearing Committee Meeting at 3:00 p.m.
  • Special Council Meeting at 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 12
  • Council-in-Committee Meeting at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 19
  • Council Meeting at 1:00 p.m.

Meetings will take place in the Large Meeting Room, located on the basement level of the library, and are open to the public. Meetings will continue to be live-streamed and posted on Norfolk County’s YouTube channel.

“All Council processes will remain the same, just the location will change for September,” explained Mayor Amy Martin. “Residents can still make public deputations and view the proceedings in person or online.”

The construction work, funded through the 2023 Capital Budget, will repair the decorative plaster and east windows within Council Chambers and replace the roof above Council Chambers.

Residents can view meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and prior council documents at the Norfolk County Agenda and Meetings webpage
