Registration opening for Norfolk County summer recreation, swimming lessons, and camps

Norfolk County reminds residents that registration for a wide range of summer programs opens early May.

Recreation camps and programs

Registration for summer programs and swimming lessons opens Tuesday, May 5, at noon. Programs include weekly recreation day camps in Simcoe, Delhi, Port Rowan, Windham Centre and Waterford, outdoor adventure camps, and specialty camps designed to support a range of interests and skill development, along with aquatic programming and swimming lessons offered across Norfolk County throughout the summer.

Museum summer camps

Registration for museum summer camps opens Wednesday, May 6, at 9 a.m. Museum camps are offered at the Delhi Tobacco Museum and Heritage Centre, Port Dover Harbour Museum, and Waterford Heritage and Agricultural Museum, providing hands-on, themed learning experiences for children during the summer months.

Summer aquatics

This summer, the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre in Simcoe will be temporarily closed for scheduled repairs and maintenance. While the facility is closed, a full schedule of swimming lessons and aquatic programs will continue at the Delhi Kinsmen Pool, a heated outdoor community pool. Programs include registered swimming lessons for children and youth, recreational swims, and other seasonal aquatic programming, ensuring residents continue to have access to swimming opportunities throughout the summer.

How to register

Residents are encouraged to review program details in advance, as spaces in many programs may be limited. Program details and registration information are available at norfolkcounty.ca/ENCORE.
