Registration for Norfolk County summer recreation programs opens May 6
Norfolk County’s summer recreation programs and swimming lessons open for registration on Tuesday, May 6 at noon.
Norfolk’s Summer Recreation Program Guide provides details about programs offered, including day and specialty camps, swimming lessons, leadership courses, fitness classes, recreational swimming, skating and sports.
Three ways to register:
- Online using Norfolk County’s ENCORE platform
- By phone at 519-426-5870 or 226-NORFOLK, extension 2233#
- In person at the Simcoe Recreation Centre (182 South Drive, Simcoe), Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.

Simcoe Recreation Centre and Simcoe Seniors’ Centre
The Simcoe Recreation Centre offers indoor activities such as pickleball, walking programs, adult fitness classes, badminton, swimming, aquafitness and aquayoga and a selection of children’s programs, as well as rentable space for events.
Programs for seniors
The Simcoe Seniors’ Centre located at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, provides members aged 50 and older with access to over 40 weekly programs.
In Delhi, activities for adults 50+ such as line dancing, fitness, arts and crafts, card games, shuffleboard, cooking and more are available in person at the Delhi Friendship Centre, located at 418 Queen Street in Delhi.
Free weekly activities are also available over the phone through the Seniors Centre Without Walls program. Participants are called and dialed into a teleconference-style meeting.
Located in the Port Dover Lions Community Centre, the Port Dover Seniors Centre offers a large variety of programming including workshops, walking club, fitness, social events, cards, line dancing, chair yoga, arts, quilting and music bingo. Join the Port Rowan Seniors Social Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 2:00 p.m at the Port Rowan Community Centre. Rent Norfolk Recreation facilities

Summer ice opens May 20 and is available for booking in the Waterford Tricenturena Arena.
