Subject: Clarification on Outdoor Water Use in Port Dover

A previous notice regarding a community-wide watering ban in Port Dover was issued in error. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

As per Norfolk County’s Water Restriction By-law, the following outdoor water use restrictions are currently in effect for all residents, including those in Port Dover, from May 15 to September 15:

Permitted watering times:

• 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Watering schedule based on address:

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on odd calendar days
• Even-numbered addresses may water on even calendar days

Newly planted sod is exempt from these restrictions for the first 24 hours after installation (proof of installation date may be required upon request).
