Public Notice of Pesticide Use

The Corporation of Norfolk County intends to control noxious weeds along all rural roadside guide rails and guide cables within its boundaries.

The following pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) will be used: Navius FLEX Herbicide (Registration Number: 30922), containing the active ingredients: Metsulfuron-methyl and Aminocyclopyrachlor. Esplanade SC (Registration Number: 31333), containing the active ingredients: Indaziflam and Propylene glycol.

The Pesticide use will be completed under the exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban located subsection 7.1(2)(4) of the Pesticides Act for the promotion of public health and safety.

Pesticide use is scheduled to begin no sooner than May 26, 2025 and will be completed by June 28, 2025.

The commencement date is approximate and weather permitting.
