Public Hearing Committee Meeting Summary – July 7, 2026

Norfolk County's Public Hearing Committee met on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, to hear public input on planning applications. Final recommendations on the applications will be presented to Council at a future meeting.  

No public comments were received for any of the applications considered at the July 7, 2026, Public Hearing Committee meeting. The Committee received all reports for information.

257 West Church Street (Silos of Waterford), Waterford – Zoning By-law Amendment (CDS-26-091)

  • The committee heard a proposal to amend the zoning by-law to permit 118 purpose-built rental townhouses and semi-detached units, along with a resident amenity building, on land known as the Silos of Waterford 
  • The proposal would replace a previously approved residential development 
  • The revised plan would reduce the number of units from 255 to 118 and remove a previously approved eight-story apartment building 
  • Committee members asked questions about internal roads, parking, stormwater servicing, sidewalks, and the proposed amenity and storage building 
  • The applicant noted that the development is intended to help address the need for rental housing in the community 

688 Windham Road 5, Teeterville – Zoning By-law Amendment (CDS-26-120)

126 Decou Road, Simcoe – Zoning By-law Amendment (CDS-26-108)
