Notice of the passing of the Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of Norfolk County passed By-Law Number 2025-78 and 2025-85 on October 28, 2025, under Section 17(22) and 17(23) and 34(18) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13.
AND TAKE NOTICE that public input has not been received for this application and therefore has been considered as part of this decision.
OPNPL2025272 & ZNPL2025289 - The purpose of the municipally initiated Official Plan amendment is to carry out the Long Point Region Source Protection Plan update pertaining to the decommissioning of the Lehman Dam in Delhi. The amendment proposes to update policy 3.3.1. of the Official Plan, update the mapping of Schedule B-3 - Wellhead Protection Areas of the Zoning By-Law 1-Z-2014, and remove the mapping overlay of Intake Protection Zones 1 and 2 (IPZ-1 and IPZ-2) previously associated with drinking water threats for the Lehman Dam surface water intake.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any specified person or public body may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal I in respect of the By-Laws by filing an Appellant Form with the Clerk of Norfolk County not later than December 2, 2025.
