Notice of Public Information Centre - Greenock Street and St George Street (Port Dover) Road Safety Review

Purpose of meeting

Norfolk County undertook the Lakewood Elementary School In-Service Road Safety Review in 2025 in response to community concerns regarding speeding, intersection stop compliance, and pedestrian safety surrounding the Port Dover school. See Figure 1 for the study area.

The Consultant completed the assignment in December 2025, which identified various road safety issues and proposed countermeasures to mitigate the issues found.

The County is inviting community members to the Drop-In Public Information Centre (PIC) to engage with Engineering staff on the findings of the report and to share public feedback on the proposed countermeasures. The feedback from the PIC will be considered while developing the Countermeasures’ Implementation Plan. 

Interested parties wishing to participate in person are welcome to attend on the date and location listed above.
