Excellence in Agriculture Awards

Forestry Farm Road Gas Well
Montrose Environmental Group presented findings from a groundwater monitoring program. Key recommendations included:
• Continued monitoring and model calibration
• Installation of a pressure relief well and vacuum degasser
• A multi-Ministerial approach to long-term remediation

Investment Update and Policy Revision (CS-25-089)
Council approved replacing Policy FS-23 with GP-33, aligning investment practices with updated financial standards.
Discussion: Emphasis was placed on risk management and maximizing returns for capital reserves.
Operating Surpluses and Debt Avoidance (CS-25-111)
Council received a memo outlining $22 million in debt avoided over three years, saving $9.7 million in interest.

Fleet Procurement – Class 6 Trucks (CDS-25-013)
Council approved the purchase of two Class 6 trucks for Roads and Parks through the Canoe Purchasing Cooperative.

Council, acting as Service Manager, gave final consent for the 56-unit affordable housing project in Dunnville.
