Norfolk County asking community for feedback on accessible transportation
Norfolk County is asking residents to share their input on accessible transportation services, including bus stops, shelters, and accessible taxicabs.
Under Ontario’s Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), municipalities must consult with the public and people with disabilities when planning accessible design features for transit stops, shelters, and taxicab services. These standards aim to ensure equal access, safety, and independence for all passengers. Community feedback will help shape future decisions to make transportation more inclusive.
To participate, visit EngageNorfolk.ca and complete the online survey.
Paper surveys are available at any Norfolk County Public Library branch, the Simcoe Recreation Centre, or ServiceNorfolk in Delhi or Simcoe. Residents can request an alternative format or communication support by calling 519-426-5870 or 226-NORFOLK, extension 8099. Bell Relay Service: 1-800-855-0511.
The survey is open until Sunday, December 21, 2025.
