Help shape Norfolk County’s 2026 budget
Norfolk County invites residents to help shape the 2026 municipal budget by sharing their input on key services and projects such as roads, parks, housing, and emergency services.
The County prepares three budgets each year:
- Tax Budget (Levy Operating Budget): Supports everyday services like road repairs, libraries, and recreation.
- Capital Budget: Funds for major infrastructure projects and facility upgrades.
- Water and Wastewater Budget (Rate Budget): Ensures clean water and effective wastewater services.
Resident feedback helps Council and staff make decisions that reflect what’s important to the community. Feedback received by September 30 will be included in a report to Council on October 16, 2025. Comments submitted after that date will still be considered before final budget decisions are made in January.
Ways to get involved
Share feedback online:
- Complete the Budget Survey: Answer a few questions, share priorities and help shape Council’s decisions.
- NEW! Take the Budget Challenge: Decide how to spend an extra one per cent of the municipal budget.
- Share Your Thoughts: Submit ideas and feedback on what matters most to them.
Participants can choose to enter a draw for a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards. Norfolk offers a gift card draw to thank residents for sharing their input and encourage more participation.
