Heat alert issued for GEPH region starting Monday, June 29, 2026

The Medical Officer of Health (MOH) for Grand Erie Public Health is issuing a Heat Alert for the Grand Erie Public Health region (Brantford-Brant and Haldimand-Norfolk), effective Monday, June 29, 2026.
 
The MOH issues a heat alert when Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts two consecutive days with a maximum daily temperature of 31°C or higher during the day and a minimum temperature of 20°C or higher during the evening, OR a weather forecast of a humidex of 40°C or higher.
 
The alert will remain in effect until a cancellation notice is issued.
