Game On! sports history exhibit now open at Norfolk County Archives
A new exhibit celebrating local sports and recreation is now open at the Norfolk County Archives.
Game On! A history of local sports and recreation was developed in partnership with the Norfolk County Sports Hall of Recognition and features items from the Sports Hall’s historical collection. The collection was transferred to the Archives in fall 2025 to support long-term preservation and public access.
The exhibit offers an early look at photographs, documents, and memorabilia that reflect the achievements of local athletes and the role sport and recreation have played in Norfolk County communities. Highlights include material related to local softball leagues, wrestling events once held at town halls, and other community-based activities.
The exhibit runs until August 28, 2026, at the Norfolk County Archives, 109 Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, and is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
