Explore what’s happening in Norfolk County this spring and summer

The Spring and Summer Recreation and Community Guide is now available, offering a wide range of programs and activities that support healthy lifestyles, skill building, and community participation for all ages.  
 
The guide features aquatic, fitness, day camp, and heritage programs for children and youth, teens, adults, and adults 50+. 
 
Registration for spring programs and swimming lessons opens Tuesday, February 24, at noon. Registration for summer programs, including day camps, opens Tuesday, May 4, at noon. Residents may register using the following methods:

•    Online: Visit ENCORE at norfolkcounty.ca/ENCORE, log in or create an account, browse programs, and select “Register Now.” 
•    By phone: Call Recreation Customer Service at 519 426 5870 or 226 NORFOLK, extension 2233# 
•    In person: Visit the Simcoe Recreation Centre at 182 South Drive, Simcoe 
 
Early registration is encouraged, as program spaces may fill quickly. 
 
The guide goes beyond recreation programs to help residents enjoy and connect with their community. It highlights local events, volunteering opportunities, and affordable ways to use County facilities, including community halls, picnic shelters, and sports fields. It also encourages residents to get outside by showcasing parks, trails, and outdoor amenities across Norfolk County. 
 
In addition, the guide brings together practical information residents use throughout the year, including Norfolk County Public Library programming, museum exhibits and events, housing and social services, emergency preparedness resources, and waste collection guidance. 
 
Printed copies of the guide have been distributed to elementary school families across Norfolk County. Copies are also available for pickup at Norfolk County Public Library branches, the Simcoe Recreation Centre, County museums, County arenas and ServiceNorfolk locations in Simcoe and Delhi. The guide can be viewed online at norfolkcounty.ca/Rec.
