Consent items 

  • Property sales and acquisitions update 
  • Strong Mayor Powers – urban boundary expansions 
  • Simcoe BIA - request for additional board member 

Deputations 

  • Council will hear deputations from representatives of the Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce and members of the public regarding the Municipal Accommodation Tax. 

Approval of minutes 

  • Council will receive minutes as information from several meetings, advisory committees, and local boards

  • Applications propose to amend the land use designation from “Urban Residential” and “Major Public Infrastructure” to “Agricultural” and “Park and Open Space” (CDS-26-011) 
  • Draft Plan of Subdivision Application and Zoning By-Law Amendment Application for Woodway Trails Subdivision, Simcoe (CDS-25-071)

By-laws 

Council will consider by-laws, including: 

  • Appointing municipal law enforcement officers 
  • Amending zoning and official plan designations related to development applications 
  • Amending the Simcoe Business Improvement Area Board of Management by-law 
  • Approving the Governance Policy – Ice Allocation 
  • Authorizing encroachment, delegation agreements, and drainage work 

Strong Mayor Powers By-laws 

  • Under the Municipal Act, Council will consider two strong mayor powers by-laws related to Official Plan amendments for specific properties 

Closed session 

Council is expected to enter closed session to discuss: 

  • Property matters related to litigation or potential litigation 
  • Chief Administrative Officer’s performance review
