Boil Water Advisory to parts of Simcoe

Norfolk County is informing residents of a temporary disruption of water service due to issues that have arisen during the ongoing Talbot Street reconstruction project in Simcoe. This disruption will affect localized residents in the surrounding area.

Norfolk is committed to maintaining public health and safety during this period. All necessary precautions are being taken to ensure that the water service is restored as quickly and efficiently as possible.

As of May 23, 2024, water has been restored to the residents who were affected by the service disruption, and a boil water advisory has been issued for those residents until such time regulatory requirements have been met. With guidance from the Ministry and the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit, County staff anticipate the issue will be rectified in the next 24 to 48 hours and will continually provide updates.
