Bloomsburg Bridge and Old Highway 24 Culvert Replacements - PW-EAM-26-51
Project Description
Bloomsburg Bridge, located on Old Highway 24, approximately 600m north of Concession 12 Townsend, in the village of Bloomsburg and Old Highway 24 Culvert, located on Old Highway 24, approximately 550m east of Highway 24 require replacement.
The work for both these locations will include the full structure replacement, including guide rail installation, road and asphalt restoration, and associated traffic control.

Project Description
This project includes the replacement of two (2) structures on Old Highway 24 as follows:
- Old Highway 24 Culvert located on Old Highway 24 approximately 550m east of Highway 24
- Bloomsburg Bridge located on Old Highway 24 approximately 600m north of Concession 12 Townsend in the village of Bloomsburg.
For reference, the project location maps for the proposed works are attached.

Information for the Public
Traffic Management
In order to expedite the work in a safe environment, vehicular traffic control measures will be in effect. Detour signage will be in place.
During the construction the following roads will be closed to Local Traffic Only with complete closure at the bridge and culvert structures:
- Old Highway 24 from Highway 24 to Cloet Road. Traffic will be detoured to the south using Concession 13 Townsend via Highway 24 and Cloet Road.
- Old Highway 24 from Concession 12 Townsend to Concession 11 Townsend. Traffic will be detoured to the east using Blueline Road via Concession 12 Townsend and Concession 11 Townsend.
Construction Tender
The construction tender for this project was sent out to prequalified bridge construction contractors in February/March 2026.
Council has awarded this project to Decew Construction Inc. who was the low bid in the amount of $1,714.471.
