Big Creek Norfolk County Road 60 Bridge and Culvert Rehabilitation - EIS-ENG-26-52

Project Description

The Big Creek Norfolk County Road 60 Bridge and Overflow Culvert, located on Norfolk County Road 60, approximately 1.95km west of Highway 59, which spans Big Creek, requires a major rehabilitation to the bridge and culvert structures.  

The work will include bridge deck replacement, bridge barrier and railing replacement, concrete repairs, guide rail installation, road and asphalt restoration, and associated traffic control.

Information for the Public

Traffic Management

In order to expedite the work in a safe environment, vehicular traffic control measures will be in effect. During the construction, Norfolk County Road 60, from Highway 59 to Norfolk County Road 23, will be closed to Local Traffic Only, with complete closure at the bridge and culvert structures.  A detour will be in place using 6th Concession Road to the north via Norfolk County Road 23 and Highway 59.

Construction Tender

The construction tender for this project was sent out to prequalified bridge construction contractors in February 2026. Council has awarded this project to Urbanlink Civil Ltd., which was the low bid in the amount of $1,435,995.
