Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre to close temporarily this summer for scheduled repairs
Norfolk County is advising residents and patrons that the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre (ACAC) in Simcoe will be temporarily closed this summer to allow for a series of scheduled repairs and maintenance work.
Spring programming at ACAC will conclude on Friday, May 29, after which the pool will close to support planned work. The project includes repairs to pool water inlets, replacement of the pool deck surface, regrouting of tile within the pool tank, and major maintenance to the facility’s HVAC systems.
This work is part of Norfolk County’s ongoing efforts to maintain the aquatic centre and ensure a safe, reliable experience for all users.
The current plan is for the pool to reopen in early September. Norfolk County will continue to share updates as the work progresses.
To ensure residents continue to have access to swimming opportunities throughout the summer, the Delhi Kinsmen Pool will open on Monday, June 1, and remain open until the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre reopens. The outdoor pool will offer a seasonal schedule of programming, including recreational swims, lane swims, family swims, and registered swimming lessons for children and youth. Program schedules, registration details, and admission information will be shared in advance of the opening through Norfolk County’s recreation channels.
