Norfolk County residents are reminded that most County services – and all County buildings – will not be available or open on Labour Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.  

Norfolk County will observe International Overdose Awareness Day by lowering the flags at Governor Simcoe Square in Simcoe to half-mast on Friday, August 30, at 1 p.m. Community members are welcome to attend this important observance. The flags will stay at half-mast until Sunday, September 1.

The 125th Annual Conference of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) was held from August 18 to August 21 in Ottawa. Norfolk County officials are pleased to report significant progress in advocating for local priorities.

Starting Friday, August 23 at 12 p.m., residents can register for Norfolk’s Fall Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) events.

The Delhi Tobacco Museum and Heritage Centre invites tractor enthusiasts to participate in a vintage tractor drive through Norfolk on Saturday, August 24.

Norfolk County has retained Civica Infrastructure Inc. (Civica) to complete the County Wide Inflow and Infiltration Program. The study’s objectives are to identify sources of stormwater or groundwater entering the sanitary sewer system.

Norfolk County residents are reminded that most County services – and all County buildings – will not be available on the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 5, 2024.  

We will be conducting condition assessments of the buried water mains, and a conducting condition assessment survey will be performed using vibrations by attaching sensors to hydrants and valves.

Norfolk County is seeking community feedback on a new recreation master plan that will guide recreation initiatives in the community.
