Family Day in Norfolk

Spend Family Day in Norfolk with a full lineup of free, family‑friendly activities across the community. Enjoy sponsored swims and skates, and take part in special programming at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, featuring s’mores by the fire, crafts, games, and activities hosted by Norfolk County Fire and the Norfolk County Public Library. With fun happening all day, it’s the perfect way to get active, connect, and make memories together.

What's happening on Family Day in Norfolk

Norfolk County residents can enjoy a mix of free, sponsored and regular paid skating opportunities on Family Day, Monday, February 16. Free skates are made possible through support from local service clubs and community partners. All other skates will follow regular admission fees. The full schedule is listed by arena, with sponsored free skates noted accordingly.

  • 2:30–3:20 p.m. – Public Skate (Free – sponsored by the Kin Club of Delhi)

Langton Arena 

  • 4:00–4:50 p.m. – Public Skate (Free – sponsored by the LP Lioness Lions Club) 

Port Dover Arena 

  • 9:00–10:00 a.m. – 18+ Adult Skate 
  • 10:00–10:50 a.m. – Parent & Tot Skate (Free – sponsored by the Port Dover Lions) 
  • 1:00–1:50 p.m. – Public Skate (Free – sponsored by the Port Dover Lions)

Talbot Gardens

  • Lengths: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. 
  • Leisure: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. 
  • Aquafit: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. 
  • Family Swim: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (Free – sponsored by the Cornerstone Association of Realtors) 
  • Lengths & Leisure: 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
